I must say:
I really loved that ‘Mels’ was black.
I know that in Eleven’s Sarah Jane Adventures episode, RTD had him respond with “No, I can be anything” to the question of “Can you change color or are you always white?”
But it was nice to actually see (in the revived series, anyway) a Time Lord(-ish person) switch human ethnicity upon regeneration.
